Remove Old Insulation

This is one of the most important processes that we go through in our line of work. We are not saying this just to boost the importance of this. Truthfully the removal process is an opportunity to look into the issues that the framework for the home or building could be facing. If we see that insulation in certain areas is damper, or just more worn down overall when we remove it we’ll know if parts of the building need extra work.

Killing Two Birds With One Stone In The Process

Where we remove old insulation we’re able to spot some of the damage caused to the structure, if any. Even when we don’t find a major issue that’s going to require immediate repairs it is still a perfect time to spot some of the parts of the building that are dealing with more moisture. From there we can recommend different solutions to those problems.

A Good Return on the Investment

The cost for this service is reasonable and is a wise investment. Because it reveals more completely what your structure needs. As we mentioned before, the removal process gives us an opportunity to look into issues your home or building could be facing. This could be due to the structure being affected by unwelcome events like water damage, mold, and/or rodent infestations. So it is important to uncover the building’s framework to allow for inspection. During this step we can take notes on needed repairs, if any. On the other hand, the inspection may confirm the underlying structure is sound. So then we would tag any “air gaps” discovered, and we would be able to proceed quickly to the next step.

What Happens When We Find Major Issues In The Removal Process?

If you’re just booking the removal process then we’ll report the areas that we spotted that have some of these issues. From there you’ll be able to use that information to your advantage. If we find major issues we may recommend certain repairs be made to the framework or other areas that may be affected. Particularly if there’s an extensive presence of mold in the area. That could be detrimental to the building moving forward.

Keep In Mind - Clues To Check For Hazardous Material

If your office, commercial building, or home was built prior to 1978, check if asbestos is present. Asbestos was banned in 1978. So with an older building, especially if it contains insulation that was manufactured and installed between 1930 and 1970, you might have a risk of this. Although it’s unlikely that your building has insulation of that age, it is wise to look into the possibility.  Therefore, if you’re removing insulation from an attic of that era, get an asbestos testing kit from a hardware store. If your test finds asbestos present in your old insulation, you need to hire a professional attic insulation removal team for the job. Because handling, removing asbestos contaminated insulation from an attic is hazardous. Removal requires the proper training, equipment, and know-how.

Don’t Worry About The Trash

One of the best things about our removal procedures is that we clean up after ourselves! You don’t have to worry about the trash that is generated by the removal procedure. If you’re someone who is really conscious of proper waste disposal and you want to know what it is that we do with the trash that we pick up, let us know. We’ll give you a rundown of everything that we do with the garbage. From the moment that we pick up the trash to the moment that we ultimately dispose of it.
